[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Indoor rowing has historically been viewed as the primary training method for the World’s top rowers “on water”, but over the past 3-5 years indoor rowing has been growing at an exponential rate, thanks in part to the popularity of rowing as part of CrossFit’s methodology and programming and because the Concept2 model D rowing machine is currently the staple setup for many franchise gyms across the globe. Indoor rowing is now regarded as a sport in its’ own right and athletes train and compete against one another around the World.

Africa is looking to lead these exciting developments with Rebel Elite Fitness spearheading growth as the distributor for Concept2 in Southern Africa.

The World Rowing Indoor Championships (WRIC) will be hosted in Alexandria, Virginia USA on 17–18 February, 2018 and the event will move to a different location each year, which will help to showcase this exciting sport.
